Assassin's Creed Movie Review
March 06, 2017
Okay I'm going to come out and say it, the critics are right, but there is a
big but here. Assassins Creed was by no means perfect, but I did enjoy it. If you've ever played this game well, you are going to truly
enjoy it. The film
has the original setting from Assassins Creed games, the modern day character played by Michael Fassbender enters the Animus to relive the memories of his ancestor.
The film also does a good job explaining the series myths to those
unfamiliar with the games. But sadly, I felt was didn't spend much time with the Assassin Aguilar as we did with the present day protagonist Cal. To me the movie felt a bit short. It
really could have done well with a longer run time. I also had a problem with the scene were he meets the other Assassins for the first time, and they all act creepy towards him. I just thought that kind of act was totally unnecessary in that scene.
The action in this movie was great, the
story was pretty solid, and the characters i would say were
interesting. I was a little skeptical about Michael Fassbender playing the role of Aguilar. But after seeing the movie he did well.
Overall, this a decent movie any Assassins Creed fan would enjoy. The critics like to bash it because it's a video game movie, and it's cool to hate video game movies, but it's not bad at all. I'll give it a 7/10.
