The Spiderman Homecoming Review
July 09, 2017
Well, a movie for teens, that's fun for adults if you don't think about it too much. Tom Holland is probably the best
Spider-Man yet. His best friend provides great comic relief and the two
have terrific chemistry. Marisa Tomei adds a breathe of fresh air to
the role of Aunt May. Michael Keaton provides Marvel with its first
memorable villain in a while. The action scenes flow smoothly, and the
humor mostly works. Those are the things that stand out after immediately leaving the
theater, and for that reason it gets high marks in my book.
Spider-Man Homecoming is easily one of the best MCU movies to date, and
the best Spiderman movie in a very long time. At last, finally, our
friendly neighborhood superhero has received a good movie of his own,
and he deserves it.
Overall, this is the Spider-Man movie we all wanted to see, and Jon
Watts and his crew delivered what's promised. It's not perfect, but
it's definitely Sony's best attempt so far. Hands down, the best Spidey
movie yet. Now let's just hope Sony don't screw up Venom...
